How To Fix Whirlpool WTW5057LW washing machine Not Filling or Spinning;
The fault could be the water inlet valve or the drain system. Here’s how to fix –
- 1. Check the water supply valves are fully open and that there is adequate water pressure.
- 2. Inspect the water inlet valve: it could be clogged or malfunctioning. If necessary, replace the water inlet valve.
- 3. Check the drain system and ensure that the hose is properly connected and not kinked or clogged. You should also verify that the drain hose is inserted into the standpipe or laundry tub at the correct height to prevent siphoning. Note – If the drain system is not functioning properly, it can cause the machine to shut off.
- 4. Test the lid switch: Make sure the lid is securely closed and that the lid switch is functioning correctly. Note – The lid switch is a safety feature that prevents the washer from spinning when the lid is open.
